Two men were shot to death and a third was injured on Thursday afternoon, March 17, on 23rd and U streets, at the entrance to the linear park that overlooks the Salado estuary, in the suburb of Guayaquil.
The victims were part of a group of nine men who were in a vacant lot lying in hammocks. Around 18:00, while they were talking, unidentified subjects arrived on a motorcycle and shot them.

When the policemen arrived at the sector, they saw how the injured people were transferred by relatives to the Abel Gilbert hospital.
In that health house it was confirmed that two were admitted without vital signs and that a third person was recovering.
The wounded man is Jorge G., 36 years old, who records several antecedents. The deceased, meanwhile, were transferred to the city morgue. One of them is Jimmy Arteaga, 29, who also has a criminal record.
