In the Kemerovo region, a 35-year-old Russian who beat his father to death received 8 years and 3 months in prison. This is reported by the regional department of the Investigative Committee of Russia.
According to the investigation, in August last year in Prokopyevsk, a man drank with his parents at home. Having gone too far with alcohol, the convict began to express dissatisfaction with his 60-year-old father, who moved poorly after an illness. The conflict escalated and the man started beating his father despite his mother’s attempts to stop him. He struck the pensioner with blows to the body and head, and he lost consciousness. In the morning it turned out that his father had died.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and pronounced him dead and called the police. According to the forensic medical examination, the death of the pensioner was of a criminal nature. However, the convict denied his guilt and referred to the fact that his father “constantly fell” due to illness. As a result, the investigators received irrefutable evidence of the son’s guilt, and he was arrested.
The man was found guilty of committing a crime under Part 4 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm, negligently resulting in the death of the victim). By a court decision, he received 8 years and 3 months in a strict regime colony.
