Ankara is ready to hold a meeting between the presidents of Russia and Ukraine – Vladimir Putin and Vladimir Zelensky. This was announced by the head of the Turkish Foreign Ministry Mevlut Cavusoglu.

At the same time, he explains that it is still difficult to talk about the timing of the meeting.

In addition, the head of the Turkish Foreign Ministry announced that Kyiv considers it necessary to include Turkey among the guarantors of a possible security agreement in Ukraine.

Turkey, which is both a member of NATO and one of the longtime economic partners of the Russian Federation, has repeatedly declared its interest in resolving the Ukrainian crisis, and also refused to impose sanctions against the Russian Federation.

At the same time, Mikhail Podolyak, adviser to the head of Volodymyr Zelensky’s office, announced that the agreement on a peace treaty between Russia and Ukraine could take from several days to a week and a half, and that a meeting of the leaders of the two countries could take place “in the coming weeks.”

We add that the delegations of the Russian Federation and Ukraine have already held several rounds of negotiations, both on the territory of Belarus and in video format. As for the meeting of the leaders of the two countries, then, as Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov noted, Moscow does not exclude such a possibility. At the same time, he stressed that Putin should meet with Zelensky not to discuss, but to fix the agreements reached.
