Petersburg will host a children’s and youth ballet competition, the jury will be headed by Anastasia Volochkova

From 30 to 31 March, the Northern Capital will host the II International Children and Youth Ballet Competition of Classical Choreography Ballerinka Baltic Sea II Saint Petersburg. Children from 4 years old and young people up to 35 years old can take part in it – students of state, non-profit and commercial children’s and youth ballet schools of additional education, amateur classical choreography groups, ensembles, theaters and studios.

Participants will compete in nominations by age and direction: solo, duet, trio (classical and pop), modern dance, acrobatics and rhythmic gymnastics, characteristic dance and amateur ballet.

The jury of the competition will be headed by Honored Artist of Russia Anastasia Volochkova. It will also include choreographer and ballet historian Olga Rozanova, People’s Artist of Russia, winner of the Golden Mask and Golden Soffit awards Albert Galichanin, soloists of the Mariinsky Theater Igor Kolb and Anton Korsakov.

On March 31, Anastasia Volochkova will hold a free master class for children over 6 years old.

The competition, organized by the Propaganda and Revival of Russian Art Charitable Foundation, will take place at the Epicenter site at 57A Moskovsky Prospekt.
