The Chairman of the Board of the petrochemical concern PJSC SIBUR Holding left Dmitry Konov. This happened under the influence of Western sanctions.

As stated in the company’s release, Konov is also resigning from the board of directors of PJSC SIBUR Holding, the board of PJSC SIBUR Holding and SIBUR LLC.

“The powers of the Management Board of PJSC SIBUR Holding, after all the necessary corporate procedures have been completed, will be transferred to the Board of Directors of PJSC SIBUR Holding and the Management Board of SIBUR LLC, the managing organization of PJSC SIBUR Holding,” the holding company said.

The company clarified that the reason for these reshuffles was the inclusion of Dmitry Konov in the EU and UK sanctions lists.

According to the FT newspaper, almost all those who fell under those sanctions participated in a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and business representatives on February 24, when the Russian Federation launched a special operation in Ukraine.

Since 2018, Dmitry Konov has held the position of Chairman of the Management Board of PJSC SIBUR Holding.
