From this Saturday, October 30 to Wednesday, November 3 the vehicles will have free mobility during the 24 hours.

In the capital, the Pico y Placa restriction plan begins on November 1, 2021, but due to the holiday of the Day of the Dead and Independence of Cuenca the restriction is suspended until Thursday, November 4.

As of Thursday, the Peak and Plate restriction plan will take effect. It will be applied according to last digit of the plates, from Monday to Friday. The impediment schedules will be from 05:00 to 10:00 and from 16:00 to 21:00. Outside these hours there will be free mobility.

This measure applies only to the urban area of ​​the capital. Therefore, the valleys of Los Chillos and Tumbaco have free mobility.

The limits for the application of the Peak and Plate are:

  • North: Calle de los Narcisos (unrestricted road), from Córdova Galarza avenue (Higher Police School) to Simón Bolívar avenue (Villorita bridge).
  • On: Up to the Catahuango bridge, S63 and S60 streets, Guamaní industrial area, Albán de Romero (roads without restriction).
  • It is: Simón Bolívar Avenue (unrestricted road).
  • West: Avenida Mariscal Sucre (with restriction) to Avenida Córdova Galarza and Calle de los Narcisos.

The capacity in public transport remains at 100%.
