The official website of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia was subjected to a cyberattack. As Kommersant writes, materials condemning the Russian special operation in Ukraine were posted on the main page of the site.

At the moment, the site says that the resource is temporarily unavailable, technical work is underway.

This is not the first time that the websites of Russian government departments have been hacked. The day before, hackers attacked the websites of arbitration courts in Russia; before that, the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS), the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Digital Transformation, Rosstat, the Federal Penitentiary Service (FSIN), Roskomnadzor were subjected to cyber attacks. Earlier, hackers from the Anonymous group hacked the websites of a number of news sites – TASS, Kommersant, Izvestia, Fontanka, Forbes, RBC, as well as Belarusian publications.

Recall that on February 25, Anonymous declared a “cyber war” against the Russian government in connection with the situation in Ukraine.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin made an emergency appeal to the Russians and announced a special military operation in the Donbass. In his speech, he stated that “circumstances require decisive action from Russia” and stressed that “Russia will not allow Ukraine to have nuclear weapons.” In response to Russia’s actions, Western countries (USA, Canada, EU, UK, Japan) announced new, tougher sanctions against the Russian Federation, including financial and economic ones.
