In Russia, they promise to launch an analogue of the blocked Instagram, and it will be called Rossgram. Recall that Roskomnadzor officially entered the social network Instagram, owned by Meta, into the register of banned sites on March 14.
From the description of the Russian project, it seems that the approach of its creators is simple – to “rip” the original as much as possible. The application can add the function of transferring content from Instagram. It is assumed that at first access will be opened for top bloggers and partners – sponsors and investors. Access to ordinary users will be open in April 2022, according to the project website.
Among the contacts of living people on the site are two: Alexander Zobov, a coach for all sales on the Web and an Internet marketer, and Kirill Filimonov, CEO of OOO with an authorized capital of 10 thousand rubles.
Well… If these people create an analogue of the second most popular social network in Russia, then Silicon Valley in California, and indeed the entire American IT industry, can be closed due to its complete unsuitability.
The news story even forced Maxim Galkin to go out on social networks:
In general, Russian “import substitution” has long been the subject of jokes and bullying by social media users. Mainly due to the fact that the creation of an analogue of something Western in Russia, especially in the field of high technologies, is either a waste of time or a “cut” of funds. And both of these options always lead to one thing: nothing like a Western product can be made.
Most likely, Rossgram does not pretend to replace Instagram. Yes, and in principle there are big doubts that he will appear. But there is already a noticeable benefit from the not-yet-existing Rosgram. The news of its creation made social media users laugh. And this is not so little in our difficult time.
