Residents of St. Petersburg in social networks publish photos with an ad that hangs in the lobby of the Dunayskaya metro station.

“Work is being carried out at the station to eliminate water intrusions,” employees of the city subway report.

The ornate euphemisms of the subway employees amused the townspeople.

“There is a special water operation going on there,” one of the Petersburgers offered his version.

“What newspeak! Not the station is leaking, but the coating is leaking. But “water manifestation” is a virtuoso cover for the word “marriage,” remarked another.

“Okay, no discharge,” the others laughed.

“Soon it will be impossible to call anything in your own words,” complained the townspeople.

“Apparently, for “leakage”, sanctions are provided for “irresponsible persons”, so they came up with a new, streamlined word,” others suggested.

Recall that the Begovaya and Dunayskaya metro stations have been regularly leaking since their opening. Officials explained the leaks by the fact that the stations are located in heterogeneous water-saturated soils.
