Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin spoke about measures to support citizens against the backdrop of sanctions and talked about future projects. He stated that the implementation of transport programs in the capital will not be stopped.
So, according to him, the construction of the subway, central diameters and roads will continue in the city. Moscow will not stop the purchase of transport and work on the reconstruction of suburban communications, as well as the construction of social institutions. “All these programs will be implemented to the last,” Sobyanin assured at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on measures of socio-economic support for the regions.
As for social assistance to Muscovites, then, as Sobyanin noted, the indexation of all benefits in the capital will follow the decision of the federal authorities. The mayor promised to take other decisions to support the required level of wages for state employees.
In addition, he said that the Moscow authorities, together with the Russian government, are working on proposals to maintain the availability of mortgages.
