The Taiwanese shipping company Evergreen Line has announced a temporary halt in accepting bookings for the carriage of goods in the sanctioned port of Novorossiysk.
According to KrasnodarMedia, the company said that operations in the ports of Odessa, St. Petersburg and Novorossiysk were disrupted due to events in Ukraine and Russia, and the ability to deliver goods to some destinations may be limited. Reservations are suspended until further notice.
Earlier, the European Union imposed sanctions on the Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port (NCSP). The Company is prohibited from providing investments, assisting in transactions with securities or other financial market instruments, as well as entering into transactions with them.
On February 24, the Russian Federation launched a special operation to protect the LDNR, which was preceded by the recognition of the independence of the people’s republics by Moscow.
