In Moscow, buyers staged a brawl due to a lack of sugar on the shelves.

As an eyewitness to the incident told the Rise publication, the incident occurred in the Perekrestok store in the Fort Otradnoye shopping center on Dekabristov Street.

According to her, there was no salt, no sugar, no pasta, no buckwheat on the shelves, only expensive rice remained. As a result, when the employees brought sugar on the cart, the buyers “just pounced” and began to behave aggressively, push and resent.

“It’s kind of scary, really. We don’t have anything yet to throw ourselves like that, ”commented the Muscovite.

Recall that in Russia there is a rush demand for long-term storage foods, including sugar, salt, cereals, etc.

On Tuesday, the Prosecutor General’s Office announced that it would deal with the rise in sugar prices and issues of its availability on store shelves. The department suspects manufacturers and suppliers of heating up the situation.

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree on a temporary ban on the export of grain to the states of the Eurasian Economic Union and sugar to third countries.
