The British sanctions list includes new individuals and legal entities from the Russian Federation. According to TASS, among the new defendants are the head of Rosoboronexport, Alexander Mikheev, the general director of the Rosseti group, Andrey Ryumin, and the new general director of Yandex, Tigran Khudaverdyan. The list also includes Viktor Rashnikov, the main shareholder of the Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works, Vladimir Rashevsky, Evrokhim CEO, Alexander Shokhin, President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, Marina Sechina, ex-wife of Rosneft head Igor Sechin, political scientist Dmitry Kulikov, journalists Armen Gasparyan and Artem Sheinin , Senator Suleiman Kerimov, businessman and former shareholder of Alfa-Bank Alexei Kuzmichev.

Their assets in the UK are frozen and entry into the country is prohibited.

In addition, sanctions are also being imposed against the Rosneft Aero company, which supplies jet fuel and refuels aircraft, and the Zelenodolsk Shipbuilding Plant.

According to British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss, over a thousand Russian citizens and businesses are currently under sanctions.
