The United States, along with its allies, has “completely crushed” the Russian economy with sanctions in response to the military operation in Ukraine, White House press secretary Jen Psaki said.

“What will be the end of the game is a question for the President [РФ Владимиру] Putin. We completely crushed its economy,” Psaki said. According to her, the West provided military and humanitarian assistance to the Ukrainians, giving them the opportunity to resist much longer than the Russian leadership expected. “And, again, he (Putin — ed.) must determine what the way forward looks like for him,” Jen Psaki added.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin made an emergency appeal to the Russians and announced a special military operation in the Donbass. In his speech, he stated that “circumstances require decisive action from Russia.” The goals of the operation are called “demilitarization and denazification” of Ukraine.

According to the RF Ministry of Defense, as of Monday morning, the Russian Armed Forces have disabled 3,920 Ukrainian military infrastructure facilities since the start of the special military operation. Over the past day, 187 objects of Ukrainian troops were destroyed.
