In one of the four crimes, residents of Cerro Las Cabras, in Durán, found a beheaded subject in a sack.
In just six hours between the night of this Thursday the 28th and the early morning of this Friday the 29th, four murders were reported in Zone 8, made up of Guayaquil, Durán and Samborondón. Only in that last canton there were no reports of violent deaths.
The first case was reported in the Las Cabras hill, in Durán. There the inhabitants made a shocking discovery, around 6:00 p.m. A beheaded man was in a sack that had been abandoned in the sector.
Police reported that the victim had been identified, as he was reported missing two hours before the body was found, however, the name was not made public.

At 7:30 p.m. that same day, 20-year-old Freddy Vera was killed with several shots in the Guayas y Quil cooperative, in the South Guasmo, in the Main Port.
The man was transferred to the Guasmo hospital, where he died. Walter M. and Israel V., who were with the victim, were also injured and are recovering in a medical home.
Colonel Ricardo Manitio, head of the Southern District, said that Vera had already received attacks against him and that years ago, when he was still a minor, he had been arrested several times for possession of weapons.
Vera’s murderers arrived in a tricimoto and fired at the young people who were talking in a portal, the uniformed man detailed. 16 ballistic evidence was found at the scene.
So far in 2021, 117 violent deaths have already been reported in the Southern District.
At the same time, in a commercial area of the parish Posorja, belonging to Guayaquil, Derian Miguel Cedeño was shot. A subject surprised him from behind when he was crouching fixing a tricimoto. Several envelopes containing drugs and 16 ballistic evidence were raised at the scene. A patrol car that was passing through the area noticed the incident and began a chase and a shooting. However, the attacker with another person managed to flee on a motorcycle.
Hours later, after midnight, at the cooperative New Prosperina, in the northwest, the fourth crime occurred. An unidentified man was shot in the doorway of a house on block 698. In the area, Criminalistics agents raised twelve ballistic evidence.
The body of the deceased was transferred to the Crime Laboratory.
