The shelling of the border military base of the International Peacekeeping Center in Yavoriv, Ukraine, which serves as a logistics center for the supply of Western weapons to Ukraine, will not interfere with further supplies, reports the New York Times, citing a statement by a senior Pentagon official.

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation previously reported about the strike on the Yavorovsky military training ground. According to the agency, as a result of the strike, “180 foreign mercenaries and a large batch of Western weapons” were destroyed.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin made an emergency appeal to the Russians and announced a special military operation in the Donbass. In his speech, he stated that “circumstances require decisive action from Russia” and stressed that “Russia will not allow Ukraine to have nuclear weapons.” In response to Russia’s actions, Western countries (USA, Canada, EU, UK, Japan) announced new, tougher sanctions against the Russian Federation, including financial and economic ones.
