Residents of Bashkiria, stuck in the resorts of Egypt due to the cancellation or rescheduling of flights, turned to the head of the republic, Radiy Khabirov, with a request to “release them from captivity,” the News102.ru portal writes, citing messages on the VKontakte social network.

“Tourists from Ufa have not been able to fly out of Egypt since March 10. Tour operators do not respond. We ask you to organize export flights for residents of Bashkortostan. We can’t be here this long. We are a full hotel, ”says one of the messages. “Carrier Azur has now rescheduled the flight to March 22. We can’t wait, everyone has children and families, work and affairs,” a resident of Bashkiria clarifies.

“We are stuck in Egypt. Flew a few days before the cessation of international flights. Flights are postponed every time: first 08.03, then 09.03, then 10.03, then 13.03, then 15.03, now they wrote about 17.03. Transferred every time. I ask you to solve this problem as soon as possible, ”writes another injured tourist.

Recall that after the start of the special operation of the Russian Federation in Ukraine, it is not the first time that difficulties with the return of tourists home due to the restriction of flights for Russian airlines have arisen.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin made an emergency appeal to the Russians and announced a special military operation in the Donbass. In his speech, he stated that “circumstances require decisive action from Russia” and stressed that “Russia will not allow Ukraine to have nuclear weapons.” In response to Russia’s actions, Western countries (USA, Canada, EU, UK, Japan) announced new, tougher sanctions against the Russian Federation, including financial and economic ones.
