Under the most favorable scenario, a peace agreement with Russia can be reached within one to two weeks, and at the latest in May, Alexey Arestovich, an adviser to the head of Vladimir Zelensky’s office, believes. He expressed this opinion on the YouTube channel of lawyer Mark Feigin, RBC reports.

According to Arestovich, “or within a week or two there will quickly be a peace agreement with the withdrawal of troops, with everything else or in the near future we will agree – a week, two, or then by the end of May after another round. At the same time, he allowed such a scenario as the continuation of hostilities.

Recall that the first three rounds of negotiations were held in Belarus, after which the discussion switched to video format. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky called his meeting with Vladimir Putin the task of negotiations, at which “normal, effective” guarantees of the country’s security should be achieved. Turkey and Israel volunteered to help organize such talks.
