On the morning of this Monday, March 14, the presentation of the children’s program Hi Pola, created by the Quito Fire Department (CBQ), which will be broadcast through digital platforms of the institution and national television for Educate TV.
The event took place after 10:00 in the auditorium of the CBQ Command, in the north center of the capital.
The campaign aims create a culture of fire prevention and emergency response through children’s content. It will be executed with a budget of $40,000 and will broadcast every Saturday.
Stephen Cardenas, CBQ commander, said that through playful games they intend to change the security culture. Don’t forget, the most important thing is that in an emergency they should call 911″advised the children who came dressed as firefighters to the launch.
The Pola cat and Luchito, two puppets that will be the protagonists of this series, will explain topics such as good use of the 911 emergency line, the use of a fire extinguisher, pick cutterstravel safely by vehicle and how to react to natural disasters, among others.

Cárdenas also highlighted the transfer of rights signing by which the Ministry of Education and Culture will join the initiative and will transmit the program at the national level, Educate TV.
