They find a young man packed outside the Domingo Savio church, in the south of Guayaquil

Packed in a green quilt, a black plastic and a white sheet, a man was found on the morning of this Monday, March 14, in the south of Guayaquil.

The discovery was made on Domingo Savio streets between Tulcán and Carchi, just on the side street of the church in the sector.

The neighbors said that at 07:00 when they left, the bundle was not yet on the street. Some commented that around 08:30 they saw the white sheet that was wrapped around the cover.

As they approached, they noticed that the package was supposedly moving, so they went one block to the Community Police Unit (UPC) in the sector to report this situation.

When the policemen opened the case, the victim had no vital signs. Lieutenant Colonel Manuel Vallejo, deputy chief of the 9 de Octubre district, mentioned that the deceased was about 18 years old, that he was handcuffed and that the apparent cause of death was a blow to the head.

“There are no stab wounds or firearm wounds to the naked eye,” Vallejo said. The body was taken to the city morgue.
