US national security adviser Jake Sullivan said Washington would not stop arms supplies to Ukraine despite Moscow’s warning that such convoys would become “legitimate targets” for the Russian Armed Forces. It is reported by Interfax.

Sullivan said Washington has confidence that its “on-the-spot” system will continue to deliver significant amounts of military aid to Ukraine, including arms and other supplies.

Thus, the diplomat responded to the statement by Deputy Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov that in the event of the transfer of weapons to Ukraine, American convoys with weapons would become “legitimate targets” for the Russian armed forces. The day before, on the air of the Big Game program on Channel One, Ryabkov also noted that these warnings were not taken seriously in the States.

Earlier, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba discussed the results of Kuleba’s meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. Blinken spoke about the actions of the United States and its partners to increase pressure on Russia and support Ukraine in the security, economic and humanitarian fields. He also said that he “immediately authorized” the provision of another batch of military aid to Ukraine in the amount of $200 million.
