Belgrade motorists staged a rally in support of the Russian military operation in Ukraine. It is reported by RIA Novosti.

According to the agency, a convoy of motorists and hundreds of citizens with the flags of Russia, Serbia, Belarus, the DPR and the LPR gathered in the parking lot of the Sava Center. From there, a column with banners and patriotic songs started towards the city center. Finished the rally near the building of the Russian embassy.

One of the organizers claimed that more than a hundred cars took part in the rally. The event lasted about three hours and was peaceful.

Recall that on March 5, residents of Belgrade took to the action in support of Russia and Donbass with the flags of Serbia, Russia and Belarus. According to the organizers, about 50,000 people took part in the rally.

Serbia does not support sanctions against Russia, emphasizing that they do not correspond to the national interests of the republic. Nevertheless, the country’s leadership recognizes the territorial integrity of Ukraine and hopes for the victory of diplomacy.

In addition, as Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic emphasizes, the republic is not going to nationalize Russian property located on the territory of Serbia.

At the same time, protests against Russia’s actions in Ukraine are taking place in many countries of the world.

Recall, on February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin made an emergency appeal to the Russians and announced a special military operation in the Donbass. In his speech, he stated that “circumstances require decisive action from Russia” and stressed that “Russia will not allow Ukraine to have nuclear weapons.” In response to Russia’s actions, Western countries (USA, Canada, EU, UK, Japan) announced new, tougher sanctions against the Russian Federation, including financial and economic ones.
