The Czech Republic will provide Ukraine with additional military assistance in the amount of at least the amount of current arms supplies – about 725 million crowns (31 million euros), said Defense Minister Yana Chernokhova.
In addition, Chernokhova called on the UN to review its policy in connection with human rights violations in Ukraine, Czech Radio reports.
Earlier, the government of the Czech Republic against the background of the Russian military special operation in Ukraine announced plans to significantly increase the budget of the Ministry of Defense.
Recall, on February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin made an emergency appeal to the Russians and announced a special military operation in the Donbass. In his speech, he stated that “circumstances require decisive action from Russia” and stressed that “Russia will not allow Ukraine to have nuclear weapons.” In response to Russia’s actions, Western countries (USA, Canada, EU, UK, Japan) announced new, tougher sanctions against the Russian Federation, including financial and economic ones.
