They find the body of a young man who disappeared on the beach, keep it up; he dreamed of being a footballer

Manta, MANABI

There were almost four days that the body of Manuel Enrique Sánchez Triviño, 18, remained under the shores of El Murciélago beach in Manta. In this same resort, on the afternoon of Monday, March 7, he disappeared after being swept away by the current.

From that moment there was anguish for the Sánchez-Triviño family. Luis, Manuel’s father, said that his son wanted to be a soccer player. He was preparing to physically support himself. The day he disappeared at sea he went to work on a ship docked in the harbor.

The dream of being a footballer kept him until the last moment of his life, because before entering the sea he was making touches with a ball with a friend whom he had decided to accompany to enjoy football and the sea.

Even before entering the sea in which he disappeared, he had one last juggling filmed with that ball. Afterwards, Manuel Enrique entered the sea and a few seconds later he raised his arms to ask for help, according to witnesses who were at El Murciélago beach that afternoon.

This Friday, around 11:00, the alert was received, of the body found a short distance from the coast of El Murciélago beach. He was spotted by people on a tourist boat.

Xavier Briones, head of the Manta Fire Department, indicated that 25 members of the Aquatic Rescue Unit of this entity dedicated efforts for four days to find the body.

Police Criminalistics personnel came to that spa to remove the body. In the Cielito Lindo citadel, in the Isabel Muentes parish, in the Montecristi canton (neighboring town of Manta), his neighbors were waiting for Manuel to undergo an autopsy to watch over him for a few hours before burying him.
