Moscow will maintain its social obligations to the residents of the capital in 2022. This was announced by the chairman of the commission on economic and social policy of the Moscow City Duma Lyudmila Guseva.

“The city maintains its obligations to those categories of people who need help: 4.5 million people receive pension supplements and various benefits in Moscow, and these payments are guaranteed for the population,” Guseva said.

In addition, the work of the Moscow Longevity project will continue in the city, and the My Social Center network will continue to grow. Also, the capital will not stop the development of the system of public services and the transfer of social services to an electronic form.

“The fulfillment of existing obligations and the consistent expansion of social support measures is a common task facing the executive and legislative authorities of the city,” Guseva emphasized.

Earlier, speaking about the sanctions, the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, expressed the opinion that “the current situation is non-standard and will require endurance, courage and decisive action.” At the same time, the mayor recalled that in the past Moscow coped with crises and became stronger.
