A Ukrainian court has allowed the arrest and bringing to trial of the editor-in-chief of the RT television channel Margarita Simonyan. It is reported by TASS.
According to the agency, after the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine charged the editor-in-chief of the Russian RT channel Margarita Simonyan, the court decided to arrest her in absentia. Also, according to Venediktova, Simonyan is allowed to be brought to court to choose a measure of restraint for her.
Earlier, Venediktova announced the arrest in absentia of Russian singer Oleg Gazmanov. He is suspected of encroaching on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine. Prior to that, Gazmanov made an appeal, stating that bases with weapons of mass destruction had been created around Russia. The singer believes that if a fight is inevitable, you need to be the first to go into battle.
Also, we recall, the Ukrainian court arrested in absentia film director Nikita Mikhalkov and singer Nikolai Baskov, and suspected them of encroaching on the territorial integrity of the country.
