On the afternoon of this Thursday, March 10, the fall of the freight elevator of a building under construction in the sector of La Carolina, in the north of Quito. According to the preliminary report of the Quito Fire Department (CBQ) five people died.
The building is located on Amazonas and Azuay streets. According to the Integrated Security Service ECU911 the alert entered at 14:07.
In addition, a CBQ statement added that one person was injured with polytrauma and received pre-hospital care at the scene and transferred to a nursing home.
