The American company Mars has decided to suspend imports and exports in Russia, according to a statement published on the company’s website.
The company owns brands such as Bounty, Milky Way, Snickers, Twix, M&M’s and others, and also produces Pedigree, Whiskas, Royal Canin and Sheba pet food.
Earlier, Mars announced that it would suspend new investments in Russia, as well as advertising and social media activities in Russia and Belarus.
Recall, on February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin made an emergency appeal to the Russians and announced a special military operation in the Donbass. In his speech, he stated that “circumstances require decisive action from Russia” and stressed that “Russia will not allow Ukraine to have nuclear weapons.” In response to Russia’s actions, Western countries (USA, Canada, EU, UK, Japan) announced new, tougher sanctions against the Russian Federation, including financial and economic ones.
