24 hours have passed since the murder of four members of a family in a rural area of the Montúfar canton, in Carchi, northern Ecuador.
The person named in this case, which has shocked Carchi and the entire country, is the partner of the daughter who survived the tragedy and who had recently separated from him. She was seriously injured and was taken to a hospital.
The man identified as Danilo Ch. attacked the family on the afternoon of Wednesday the 9th, in the rural sector of Calpaz, in the San Cristóbal Alto community, González Suárez de San Gabriel parish, Montúfar canton, it was indicated.
After knowing the quadruple murder, the Police undertook the search for the person involved.

And since the time of flagrante delicto (24 hours) has passed, the Ecuadorian Prosecutor’s Office requested the arrest for investigative purposes of Danilo Ch.

Danilo Ch. threatened the Toro Pastaz family with death after the daughter, the one who survived the attack on this 9, separated from the man weeks ago. No one in the home imagined that the man would carry out his threats, said family and friends in this home.
During the attack, the husband and wife Iván Toro and Oliva Pastaz (the man’s in-laws) were killed; their daughter, Ángela Toro (sister-in-law for the suspect), and the 5-year-old daughter of the perpetrator.

After the crimes and after injuring his former girlfriend, the man fled on a motorcycle that he took from the sector, which was located hours after this violent event.

The person involved is believed to have used a firearm and a machete.
Relatives of the victims watched over their bodies and hope that justice will be done for these violent deaths.
