Over the week from February 28 to March 6, sales of tours abroad fell by almost 70 percent. It is reported by TASS with reference to the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR).
ATOR, in turn, refers to the data of the federal network “1001 tour”, which reported a reduction in the sale of tours by 69.7% compared to the previous week. Sales of tourist vouchers in Russia also declined, but to a lesser extent.
ATOR emphasized that, taking into account the current international situation and the depreciation of the ruble, the volume of sales of tours abroad will continue to decline. And in the volume that remains, an increase in sales of tours in Russia is expected.
Earlier, the association reported that the prices for tours to open countries for Russians jumped up to 80%, and today you can not count on last-minute tours at all.
According to ATOR, tours to Turkey have risen in price by 80%, to Egypt – by 65%. The association emphasized that the main reason for the jump in prices is the depreciation of the ruble against the euro and the dollar.
