The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (Inamhi) issued a weather bulletin for rain and thunderstorms valid until March 11. The notice indicated that the presence of variable intensity rains will continue in the country in the areas with the highest level of threat, where electrical storms could also occur.
In the coastal region, the most intense rains will occur in the interior and south of the region. Rainfall of variable intensity was expected in the Inter-Andean alley throughout the region.
In the Amazon region, intense rains will be scattered throughout the region and will be accompanied in several cases by storms, in the foothills of the mountain range the rains will be recurrent.
During the early hours of this Thursday and the next few days, there will be a decrease in minimum temperature with greater intensity in the towns of the Inter-Andean region. The greatest decreases could be registered in the provinces of Cotopaxi, Cañar, Chimborazo, Pichincha, Bolívar and Tungurahua. Other provinces in the region could register significant declines in high and medium mountain areas.
