A new attack by hitmen in which minors are collateral victims occurred early this Monday, March 7, in the south of Guayaquil.

Two brothers, ages 4 and 5, and a 46-year-old man were hit by bullets after they fired into their home.

It happened in the Casitas del Guasmo cooperative, at 02:20, when the family was apparently gathered in the living room of the house.

At that time, armed subjects arrived in a vehicle and opened fire.

The three were taken to the Guasmo hospital.

Captain Stalin Fagra, police chief of the sector, explained that the 4-year-old boy was shot in the abdomen and that the doctors are trying to stabilize him to transfer him to the Francisco Icaza Bustamante hospital.
