Belarus will equip its port facilities in Russia within two years. This is reported by TASS with reference to the words of the President of the Republic Alexander Lukashenko.

According to Lukashenka, he discussed this issue with Russian President Vladimir Putin even before the conflict in Ukraine. In particular, it was about building ports within two years so that Belarus could “load its cargo.”

Lukashenka specified that the places for the ports had already been determined and they were “very good”, and also said that he would go to see how the construction was going in the spring or in June. Also, according to the leader of the Republic of Belarus, even before the conflict in Ukraine, Putin assured him of supporting any Belarusian project, and now, when sanctions are being imposed against Minsk, “and God ordered.”

Earlier, Vladimir Putin instructed the Governor of the Leningrad Region Alexander Drozdenko to support the development of Belarusian projects in the Baltic.

Also earlier, Alexander Lukashenko once again stated that the Belarusian army did not take any part in the Russian special operation in Ukraine and does not intend to take it. According to him, no matter how “separate forces” try to draw Belarus into hostilities in Ukraine, no one should have any reason to worry. Lukashenka stressed that the border from Brest to Mozyr is covered by the forces of the republic, and there is no need to take part in a special operation now.
