During the military special operation of Russia in Ukraine, three servicemen from Bashkiria were killed. The head of the republic, Radiy Khabirov, announced the first two on March 4 at a conference of the regional branch of the United Russia party, the third – today, March 5, at a solemn event dedicated to International Women’s Day.
According to Khabirov, a native of the Zianchurinsky district, senior lieutenant Alexei Kondratiev (he left behind his parents, wife and 5-month-old child), senior sergeant Kuzma Evgenievich Nikolaev, a native of the Karmaskaly district, and another soldier, whose name the head of the region did not name, died.
Khabirov expressed condolences to the families of the fallen soldiers and promised not to leave them without support.
Earlier, the heads of the Saratov region, the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic, the Chelyabinsk region and Mordovia, the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug, Tatarstan, Buryatia, the Amur Region and the Krasnoyarsk Territory reported losses in a special operation in Ukraine.
Recall that the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation announced 498 Russian dead and 1,597 wounded. The department emphasizes that neither conscripts nor cadets of educational institutions participate in the special operation.
Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that more than 7 million rubles will be paid to family members of servicemen who died in the operation in Ukraine; the wounded will receive an additional payment of 3 million rubles.
