The VR company may launch more trains from St. Petersburg to Finland. It is reported by YLE.

Thousands of people are expected to come to Finland from Russia on March 5-6. At the same time, almost all options for leaving the country are not available: train and bus tickets are sold out. In addition, covid restrictions make it difficult to leave Russia.

Due to strong demand, VR is in talks to organize additional Allegro train runs next week.

Recall that on February 27, the EU countries completely closed the sky for Russian aircraft. Now Russian planes cannot land and take off in the EU, as well as fly over its territory.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin made an emergency appeal to the Russians and announced a special military operation in the Donbass. In his speech, he stated that “circumstances require decisive action from Russia” and stressed that “Russia will not allow Ukraine to have nuclear weapons.”

In response to Russia’s actions, Western countries (USA, Canada, European Union, Great Britain, Japan) announced new, tougher sanctions against the Russian Federation, including financial and economic ones.
