Prosecutor General of Ukraine Irina Venediktova announced the arrest in absentia of Russian singer Oleg Gazmanov. He is suspected of encroaching on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine.
“We in Ukraine believe that officers (they are Russians) are committing crimes in Ukraine today. And yes, we are often on land, and they are often at sea, and we can’t meet in any way – only in court, ”said Venediktova, whose words are quoted by Radio KP.
Earlier, Gazmanov made an appeal, stating that bases with weapons of mass destruction had been created around Russia. “They were built and are multiplying to destroy our state and our peoples, our families! The flight time for missiles from Poland, Hungary and other NATO countries is minutes! They want to accept Ukraine into NATO! They were pumped up with weapons and brought up in hatred for us for 30 years, ”said the singer.
He believes that if a fight is inevitable, one should go into battle first. “You have to understand that today it was Russia that took responsibility and prevented a big war in the world with a small battle. The last war for everyone,” commented Oleg Gazmanov.
Earlier, a Ukrainian court arrested film director Nikita Mikhalkov in absentia, also suspecting him of encroaching on the country’s territorial integrity.
