Restrictions on aircraft flights in southern Russia have been extended until March 14, 03:45. This was reported by the press service of the Kuban airports.

The report clarifies that the extension of the restrictions is due to the decision of the “aviation authorities”. As for the Sochi airport, it will continue to operate as a temporary hub.

The airports of Anapa, Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Gelendzhik, Krasnodar, Kursk, Lipetsk, Rostov-on-Don, Simferopol and Elista continue to remain closed. The sky is closed for flights along the western border with Ukraine and Belarus at all altitudes.

The ban on flights to southern Russian airports was introduced on February 24 and was initially valid until March 2, and then was extended until March 8.

Earlier it became known that, as of March 4, more than a hundred flights were canceled at the capital’s airports. According to Yandex. Schedules, seven flights were delayed at Vnukovo Airport, 52 canceled, at Domodedovo nine flights were delayed, eight were canceled, at Sheremetyevo 16 flights were delayed, 50 were canceled.
