After the viralization of a video on social networks about the alleged price increase for urban transport tickets, to 50 cents, the president of the Union of Urban Transport Operators of Quito, Jorge Yánez, noted that it was a decontextualization of their statements.

The mayor of Quito, Santiago Guarderas, denied the possibility of a rate increase. “The only authorized one is 35 cents for those companies that have met the parameters set forth in Ordinance 017-2020 ″, he said.
