A few hours after a week of the murder of the sprinter Álex Quinónez and the urban singer Cristopher Arcalla there are several pieces that the Police review to be able to clarify this event and find those responsible.
Since the crime that occurred last Friday night, several events have been generated and are being analyzed to determine or rule out possible links with the crime of the athlete and the singer.
One in particular occurred this Tuesday when the body of a young man was found on a hill near Socio Vivienda, in the northwest of Guayaquil.

The murdered young man was identified as Geovanny Reyes Elaje, 18 years old. The police indicated that the shot had criminal records since his adolescence. He was known by the alias Shakira.
Ricardo Armas, a major in the Police, maintained that the young man had just reached the age of majority in August, but had investigations into micro-trafficking and organized gangs.
It is preliminarily known that he was assassinated with a rifle. The police presume that he was murdered in another place and then he was dumped on the hill near the Socio Vivienda complex.
Unofficially, it is known that the young man was investigated by the Police as a person of interest in the process under investigation for the death of the athlete Álex Quiñónez and the urban singer Cristopher Arcalla, which occurred last Friday in Colinas de la Florida.

Two assassins participated in this crime who got out of a white car and shot at Quiñónez and Arcalla. They were in the sector talking in a group, which dispersed with the shots. A camera from the sector captured the moment in which the criminals shoot the victims and flee in the car.
After the murder of both, the Police were looking for Geovanny Reyes Elaje.
The Ecuavisa newscast indicated that the police carried out a search of a house belonging to a family member of Reyes, but they did not find him. The search was carried out in a house located about 15 minutes from the place where his body was found.
A coincidence that we are trying to clarify is that the type of weapon with which Reyes Elaje was assassinated is the same one with which they killed two men at the Entrance of 8, an event that occurred on Monday afternoon.

For this reason, all possible links that these crimes could have with the events in which the Olympic sprinter and the urban singer lost their lives are investigated.
The Police, however, have not officially confirmed the version that Geovanny Reyes was being investigated and the reasons why he was apparently a subject of interest in this criminal case.
So far, what the Police have confirmed is the recovery of the car in which the hitmen apparently mobilized. That car was found in Durán. The Police carried out a review to determine if they found clues that lead to the criminals.
It was learned that Criminalistics experts set 25 ballistic evidence at the scene of the athlete and the singer’s crime, have collected information from witnesses and reviewed the security cameras installed in the sector.
After the crimes in Colinas de la Florida, the Police also arrested a foreigner who apparently fired near the place where they were watching the singer who was killed along with the athlete. In that event, two people were injured, who were taken to a hospital. It was asked whether this incident was related or was an isolated situation.
The process of the murder of Quinónez is in the preliminary investigation stage.
