Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin expressed the hope that in 2023 the residents of the capital will receive a metro to Vnukovo. We are talking about the construction of the Solntsevskaya branch, which will be the first subway line in Russia leading to the airport.

On Thursday, March 3, the mayor took part in the completion ceremony of the right running tunnel between Pykhtino and Rasskazovka stations.

“We have completed the tunneling from Rasskazovka to Pykhtino – the last shield. And then we went from Pykhtino to Vnukovo. Rosa and Natalia are two tunneling shields, they will work for a year to drill tunnels, ”said Sobyanin.

According to him, the MCD-4 line, a highway that connects Minsk, Borovskoe, Kievskoe, Kaluga and Warsaw highways, is being built in the Vnukovo area.

Recall that the construction of a new metro section 4.9 km long with two stations Pykhtino and Vnukovo began in the fall of 2019. To date, as specified in the press service of the mayor’s office, the readiness of the stations is 32% and 16%, respectively.
