At the commemoration ceremony of the 101 anniversary of the creation of Civil Aviation and Ecuadorian Air Force Day (FAE), Giovanny Espinel Puga, Commanding General of the Air Force, announced that the radar installed in Montecristi will be operational from today, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Espinel pointed out that this will solve an operational technical requirement that is to cover this “blind spot” that allows unidentified air traffic in this area. He also announced the capture of four planes.
