The Federal Air Transport Agency extends the ban on flights in the south and in the central part of Russia until March 8. This is stated in the message of the department.
“The regime of temporary restriction of flights to Russian airports in the south and central part of Russia has been extended until March 8, 2022, 03:45 Moscow time,” the report says. “Flights are temporarily restricted to the following airports: Anapa, Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Gelendzhik, Krasnodar, Kursk, Lipetsk, Rostov-on-Don, Simferopol, Elista.”
On February 24, Russia closed part of the airspace to civilian aircraft due to a special military operation.
Earlier, the Federal Air Transport Agency recommended alternative routes for airlines to transport passengers who wanted to use airports in the south of the country. As reported by the media, the airlines were instructed to return the money to passengers in full, provide the opportunity to rebook tickets for other dates and offer alternative routes.
