During the military special operation, the exit of the military forces of Ukraine to the Sea of Azov is completely blocked. This was announced by the representative of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Major General Igor Konashenkov, at a regular briefing for journalists.
According to him, the People’s Militia of the DPR reached the administrative border of the Donetsk region and connected with the Russian military units of the RF Armed Forces, which took control of areas along the coast of the Sea of Azov.
Konashenkov also clarified that the LPR troops had advanced 61 km since the beginning of the military operation, and the DPR troops had advanced 19 km over the past day. The representative of the Ministry of Defense reported on the blockade of the Russian Armed Forces of the settlement of Svatovo and the capture of Novoborovoye, Barykino, Klimovka, Bulgakov and Golubovka. The troops of the DPR, according to him, took control of Ivanovka, Talakovka, Starodubrovka, Berestovoe and Belotserkovka.
Recall, on February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin made an emergency appeal to the Russians and announced a special military operation in the Donbass. In his speech, he stated that “circumstances require decisive action from Russia” and stressed that “Russia will not allow Ukraine to have nuclear weapons.”
