Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov signed a resolution according to which reserve officers under 29 are called up for military service. It is reported by ORDA.

The publication emphasizes that the call-up of reserve officers is carried out on an annual basis. The Ministry of Defense of the Republic clarified that officers who graduated from universities with a military department, as well as those who have completed military service, are subject to conscription.

This year, 190 officers will be called up for military service, 150 of them from the armed forces and 40 from the border service of the National Security Committee.

Earlier it was reported that Kazakhstan is not considering sending its military to Ukraine.

The Ministry of Defense of the Republic denied the information in social networks that the Kazakh military would allegedly be sent to Ukraine. Measures to increase the combat readiness of the armed forces of Kazakhstan are being carried out as planned, the department stressed.

It also became known that against the backdrop of the collapse of financial markets in the Russian Federation due to Western sanctions in the capital of Kazakhstan, Nur-Sultan and in Alma-Ata, the sale of foreign currency stopped.

Recall, on February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin made an emergency appeal to the Russians and announced a special military operation in the Donbass. In his speech, he stated that “circumstances require decisive action from Russia” and stressed that “Russia will not allow Ukraine to have nuclear weapons.”
