A petition appeared on the Change.org platform asking the Russian Ministry of Defense to provide data on the dead, wounded and captured on the territory of Ukraine during the ongoing military special operation of Russian troops.
“The maximum information that we received is that there are dead and wounded. The Ministry announced this on February 27. However, Russian mothers and fathers, the entire Russian society have the right to know accurate information,” the authors and signatories of the petition believe.
They say that the data disseminated by Ukrainian sources disturbs the parents of the Russian military. Relatives of conscripts are especially concerned – they are worried about rumors about the transfer of conscripts to contract soldiers.
“Russian society has a different attitude towards the events in Ukraine. But no one wants to hush up Russian losses! The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation does not have the right to fence itself off from society with a wall of silence, ”the authors of the appeal write.
