Freddy Rivas Alcívar, 26, was killed with several bullet wounds when he was in a mechanical workshop located at kilometer 38 of the Chone road, a sector belonging to the El Carmen canton.
The incident was reported at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, February 25.
According to witnesses, the attackers arrived at the mechanic on a motorcycle and one of them, the one in the back of the vehicle, fired shots at Rivas. After hearing the detonations, the witnesses indicated that the subjects fled.

Still alive, the young man was transferred aboard a taxi to a local hospital, where despite efforts he died within minutes. The bullets received compromised vital organs.
Close friends of the deceased indicated that a few weeks ago he had married and they do not know the reasons why they ended his life.
The uniformed officers of the National Directorate of Crimes Against Life, Violent Deaths, Extortion and Kidnapping (Dinased) carried out the removal of the body and proceeded to take the body to the forensic center of Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas. (I)
