The An-26 aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces crashed in the Voronezh region, the crew died. This was reported by the press service of the Western Military District.
The report says that the plane crashed during a planned flight to transport military equipment. According to preliminary information, the failure of equipment became the cause of the crash. To clarify the circumstances of the accident, a commission of the Aerospace Forces was sent to the place of the accident.
The press service reported that all crew members were killed. No damage was recorded on the ground.
Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that during the “counter-offensive actions of the group of troops of the DPR and LPR” on units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the aerospace forces of the Russian Federation, a Su-25 attack aircraft crashed as a result of a piloting error.
According to local media, the attack aircraft crashed near the village of Uryv-Pokrovka in the Ostrogozhsky district of the Voronezh region. It is specified that the pilot safely ejected and returned to his military unit.
