Zelensky instructed to create the headquarters of the Supreme Commander

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky decided to create the headquarters of the supreme commander in the country. The decree was published on the website of the Ukrainian head of state.

“To provide strategic leadership to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, other military formations and law enforcement agencies <…>I decide to form the headquarters of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, ”the text specifies.

President Zelensky became the chairman of the headquarters of the supreme commander-in-chief, and the secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov became the coordinator.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a special military operation in Ukraine. As reported, military infrastructure is disabled by high-precision means. In response to Russia’s actions, Western countries (USA, Canada, EU, UK, Japan) announced new sanctions against Russia. Martial law was introduced in Ukraine, mobilization began and diplomatic relations with Moscow were severed.
