Quito Council analyzes a reform to deal with the relocation of families living in risk areas

This Thursday, February 24, the reform ordinance project for Title IV of the process of valuation and financing for the relocation of affected families and at high risk that cannot be mitigated.

The reformatory ordinance provides for changes to Book IV.8 of the Municipal Code.

They are intended to be modified so that more families can be relocated and do not continue to live in homes at non-mitigable risk.

For his part, the mayor of Quito, Santiago Guarderas said that the victims of the flood in La Comuna and La Gasca They are waiting for what the Council decides. “The way we can respond is that we can review in second debate the observations that it could possibly have. We can not wait more than a week because they need the resources to be able to intervene,” he said.
