Music and dance will be protagonists of the carnival in Quito

Traditional dances, costumes, masks and cariocas They merge at various points in the capital in order to recover the traditions that surround the carnival festivities.

The Municipality of Quito, the Presidency of the Republic, cultural and commercial managers have prepared a series of options for tourists who decide to visit this city on the holiday, which will from Saturday February 26 to Tuesday March 1.

‘Masks, from the party, the satire and the ritual’

The regions of Ecuador have different traditions to celebrate carnival. However, the suit is one of the main elements of the activities. This is intended to highlight the exhibition Caretas, from the party to satire and ritual, located in the City Museum, in the historic center.

The neighborhood carnival

The municipal company with the cultural managers have prepared different tours of the historic neighborhoods of Quito.
